What a landlord account lets you do

Record your properties, units and leases; raise monthly rent invoices; and collect rent from your tenants straight into your own bank account. Rent settles to the account you link — RentHome never holds it and never takes a cut of it.

You remain the landlord

The tenancy is between you and your tenant. RentHome records it and moves money for it; we are not a party to it, and we do not arbitrate disputes about rent, deposits, repairs or possession. You are responsible for the lease terms you enter being accurate and lawful, including any rent control, registration, stamp duty and tax obligations that apply where the property is.

Payouts and verification

Before rent can settle to you, the payment gateway has to verify your identity and bank account. Until that verification completes we cannot pay out to you, and rent your tenants have paid is held by the gateway, not by us.

What we charge

A monthly subscription, billed per occupied unit and shown in full before it is charged, plus GST. Vacant units are not billed. Tenants are never charged a fee for using RentHome.

Your tenants' data

When you add a tenant you are giving us personal data about someone else. Only add details you are entitled to share, and only use what you see here to run the tenancy. We process that data on your instructions to provide the service.

Your data and your rights

We store your name, phone number, email and the rent records tied to your account, and we use them to run the service — reminders, receipts, invoices and support. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to privacy@renthome.space. Some records — payment and tax records in particular — we are required to keep for a statutory period even after an account closes; we keep those and nothing else.

Ending it

You can close your landlord account at any time. Doing so does not end any tenancy, cancel rent already due, or remove records we are required to keep. A tenant account you may hold under the same email is a separate account and is unaffected.
